Grandpas and Nieces

This past weekend was my Grandpa Fred's birthday! We had dinner at Grams' and his place to celebrate with yummy dinner, family and of course cake and presents! Miss LC was there in all of her glory, looking as cute as a button! I hadn't seen her since CHRISTMAS!!! Oh how I've missed her.

As I've mentioned before, the baby fever usually strikes when I get to spend time with my precious niecey-poo. However it was double bad Saturday because before the birthday, I had the opportunity to attend a baby shower!! UGH! Talk about baby fever! Fortunately, it's fun to have the fever and then let it subside....I came home that evening, didn't have dirty diapers to change, massive heart burn, and slept through the night. I know I those days would not exist if I was a mommy. We are looking forward to becoming parents...just not yet. Enjoy everyone elses is quite fulfilling.

Thanks for another great birthday Grandpa! We sure do love you! Happy Happy Birthday!

Me, Kristina and Baby Wyatt!

Opening Baby Wyatt's presents!

My precious niecey-poo (she didn't feel good)

Please don't cry

Playing with the puppy Uncle Taylor and Auntie Kari gave LC for Christmas, it helped with the tears

Man of the hour? Uncle Taylor!

Uncle Taylor loves LC!

What are you saying Uncle Taylor?

Precious kisses

Her smile melts our hearts!

Don't cry sweetie!

Happy Birthday Grandpa! Love you!

Blogger is fixed!

I've honestly been wanting to post additional photos of our updates around the house, but unfortunately the photo function wasn't working! It's finally working where I can add several pics at once! Many of the blogs I follow have very creative authors who know how to add photos in a cute way...I just add one at a time, in a boring line. Sorry. From the looks of my last post asking for help, no one really follows my blog anyway! haha Good thing it's just for me and Taylor

SO....the unfinished WALLs

So the taping and covering of the entire area took approximately 5 hours. The actual spraying of the texture took about 20 minutes. (if that) Of course the painting took quite a bit of time since we primered and then did two coats of paint. I just couldn't believe how long the taping took! And then, I had to tape everything off again after we textured so we could paint! haha! But it is SO worth it to finally have the walls finished! We actually have the light switch/outlet covers ON! It's amazing how those little tiny items make a huge difference in the overall look of a room.

No more wall paper or unfinished wall! yay!!!

Once we finished with the walls, we decided to do the flooring in our living room and dining room! No more 1970's carpet!!! Mike Zabel helped Taylor lay down the flooring in the living room, and then I helped the following Sunday with the dining room! It was quite the project, a little more to it than we anticipated, but we are really happy with the results! Taylor is such a perfectionist which ensures real quality in the end result. The trim he did is also beautiful...I love my husband so much! We can't wait until we can buy property and build from scratch...but it's fun updating.

Beautiful living room! Yes, we now need to buy new furniture...our hand-me-downs aren't cutting it...but the floor really looks amazing. The photos don't even do it justice.

Now the dining room:

Taylor even bought me my own knee pads so I could comfortably help lay the floor in the dining room! We love our updates!

Hopefully the sun will come back someday soon so I can finish cleaning up the garden! Fortunately I couldn't have planted anything yet due to the horrible weather we've been experiencing! So many projects, so little time....
