Sunshine and Fundraising

Saturday was such an amazingly beautiful day! I work jeans, a t-shirt and flip flops! It was supposed to be close to 70 degrees in Seattle, I didn't actually look to see how warm it was in Olympia. Regardless is WARM! And I loved being kissed by the sun.

After Taylor and I went to help setup for Parker's MS Fundraiser party, we came home and I washed my car...in April...in my swim suit! I HAD to!! Taylor mowed while I washed my car. I couldn't believe how warm it was! After I washed my car I just sat out in the sun and soaked in as many rays as I could before having to get ready for the party. Taylor beautified the lawn, as always- good thing too since the weather drastically turned.

Taylor's brother Parker has MS and each year throws a fundraising party- this year Taylor and I participated in the beer pong tournament. Unfortunately we lost the first round! Sorry babe!

It was a fun filled evening- Hopefully someday all the fundraising and MS walks will pay off for those with MS.

Friends and Pizza

When we bought our house, our realtor took us to The Brick a time or two for pizza and beer. We both fell in love with their pizza and now if we're ever going to splurge and go out to eat or grab drinks, Taylor wants to go to The Brick. He's even more excited that his sister moved closer to us, so we have even more of an excuse to go there!

Taylor chewing that black thing and bit his lip SO hard, it has a visible hole and it just kept bleeding! Poor babe

Well last night we were invited to do a few different things and it boiled down to Taylor wanting to go to The Brick. Go figure. :-) So we planned to grab a drink or two and head home, but after a few drinks, dinner salad and $4.20 cheesy bread, we finally headed home around 11:30pm!

I love that the sun has been shining this past week: it makes for better moods and much more motivation to get out and enjoy...I'm definitely looking forward to the sunshine today. I just heard on the news it may be close to 70 degrees today!!! YAY!

Flowers

Had to share an update of the lovely flowers my hubby picked out for me at Pike Place Market over the weekend: they've bloomed and are even more gorgeous than they were before!

Thanks to my hubby for always making me feel SO special and loved: not because of buying me flowers, but for his genuine kindness - I love him with all my heart.

Smooches for sweet husbands!!!

Before

After

Bill and Parker's Birthday

Taylor's dad had a birthday Sunday! We celebrated by meeting at Chris and Dominique's new place at 3:30pm to play games and have some dinner. Taylor's sister made a pork roast, potatoes and carrots while we brought salad and green beans (beans for Taylor), Parker brought rolls and Heidi brought yummy desserts!

To start off the party, Bill opened a gift from Heidi........

Wits and Wagers!

Obviously a setup, so we'd have a game to play: Bill opened his gift of Wits and Wagers! Bill and Heidi had played before and enjoyed it so much that Heidi bought it for Bill. While dinner was cooking we all played! No pics, but a pretty fun game!

This gathering was also to celebrate Parker's birthday, which is April 21st. He didn't know we were celebrating his birthday also, so was pleasantly surprised to have a dessert and gifts for him as well! We did all of the gift opening prior to dinner, to kill time while dinner finished.

PK opening his gift from Chris Dom and Haylee

"A tackle box!" he excitedly said....

But then realized it was a filing system for his business -

Subway GC in the card

What is in the GIANT bag?!
Sun Chips, Gatorade and a Subway GC
While the family helped Chris and Dom move into their new place, Parker randomly had a ton of Gatorade in the trunk of his car. He explained that he regularly visits Subway and hates to spend the extra money on a drink - so Taylor and I thought of buying him even more Gatorade and Chips, to save him moola when he hits up Subway. He was pretty stoked!

More gifts from Heidi to Bill

Nice Socks!
Bill is quite the bowler these days, so Heidi purchased him a gift card to pick out new bowling shoes and to go along with the shoes she bought him nice warm SOCKS! He was pretty excited. My guess is, he's already gone and picked out the new shoes! :-)

Card from the parents

Must have been good! He never did say what was in the card...but he was appreciative!
Gift Card to Cabella's from Chris Dom and Haylee

Stereo Ear Protection for shooting practice
Heidi shared with us that Bill has been shooting a lot more lately, so Taylor decided to research some good ear protection for his Dad, which still allows him to chat with those around him and hear what's going on, but once the sound of the shots fired get above 85 decibels, the headphones shut off and serve as regular ear protection. Taylor shared with Dom the idea of shooting "stuff" so decided to purchase the GC so Bill could pick out other items related to his shooting hobby. Parker picked up some ammo for Bill: Now he just has to decide if he wants to go shooting or bowling!

Apple Pie and Vanilla Ice Cream for Parker

Special Raspberry dessert from Farmers Market for Bill

Bill and Heidi had gone to market earlier in the weekend and Bill picked out this raspberry strudel dessert for his bday cake instead of his favorite Boston cream pie. However, Bill thought of the fact that both desserts would then have fruit in them and Taylor doesn't eat fruit- that his parents picked Taylor up a special treat just for him....

Half Chocolate Half Maple bar doughnut

Crazy Father Son Pic
Before everyone headed home for the evening, we got a few pics...some crazy, some 1/2 serious. I apologize for the poor quality of some of the pics, I think I ruined Taylor's camera while taking pictures during some of home improvement projects.

Happy Birthday to my Father and Brother in Law! Thank you for inviting us to celebrate as you aged one additional year.

Love you both!
