Seahawks!

I know, I know: The Seahawks aren't known to be the best NFL team out there, but we enjoy cheering them on just the same. We hosted a get together with Taylor's family and Taylor's best friend Stender, for the Cardinals vs. Seahawks game.

I decided to make pulled pork sandwiches for our half time grub, but was really nervous since I hadn't made it before. The butcher store gave me a 10lb roast, which would have been wayyyy too much. So at midnight the night before, Taylor cut the meat in half and helped me get it in the slow cooker. Thankfully my mom gave me a sweet slow cooker for Christmas a few years ago: I love it! I started the meat at 12:30am Sunday, got up at 4 to ensure there was enough water left, and let it cook until 10am. Taylor and I stood in the kitchen for close to 45 minutes pulling it all apart. It really turned out great!! Everyone seemed to enjoy it!

After the Hawks score, following Dominique's tradition, we were taking shots. Taylor bought his parents coffee drinks to use as shooters, that way everyone could participate.

Niecey-Poo LC & Family Birthdays

What a great fall weekend! Saturday, the 23rd, was my Aunt's birthday. (Taylor's Aunt-in-Law hehe). Fortunately my cousin invited us, otherwise we wouldn't have known about the celebration! We assumed the celebration was at Aunt Cheryl's, but I thought to double check and found out it was at Grams' place. We turned around and started heading to Grams! haha We were not only celebrating my Aunt's birthday, but also her youngest daughter (my cousin) Nicole's 18th birthday!! Adulthood! Woohoo!

 My Aunt Cheryl had her youngest daughter Nicole, the day AFTER own birthday, 18 years ago. Nicole is a senior in High School. She is really looking forward to graduating.

The girls seemed to have a fabulous birthday celebration. Taylor and I hadn't seen anyone in the family since the wedding (other than my sister, niece, Thomas and my mom.) It was nice to see everyone, especially our little niecey-poo LC! (LilyCadence)

We are the luckiest Aunt and Uncle ever! LC is so precious! She has grown so much since the last time we saw her. She smiles on purpose and is so fun to watch while she watches everything possible! We love her.

We were fortunate enough to get a 4 generation photo while we were at the birthday party. But first: the girls being goofy.

It's true: we are a family full of girls!

Birthday's are so fun and special! Even though I'm getting older, I still get so excited about birthday's. Mainly the birthday's of those I'm close to. I know the excitement I feel inside...I love to think about how excited everyone else is. (Even if they aren't!) My hubby's birthday starts off the birthday season in our family. We do not have a lot of spring/summer birthday's- I can't wait for the rest of them!!

Honeymoon Day 2: Snowmass

After we took our nap, unpacked all of our things and put them away in their proper places (closet, safe, drawers etc.) we headed to the lobby to ask for a ride to the grocery store. Little did we know it was within walking distance, but they of course were happy to drive us. We were dropped at the grocery store and picked up a few items. Their liquor store is in their drug store/Hallmark type store. That was funny. Their grocery store was ridiculously expensive in Snowmass because it was just a little mart. All of their food had to be flown in- hence the expense.

After we picked up our groceries and the staff took them to our room for us, we asked the concierge where we should grab some food. We were told there was a fantastic Italian restaurant near the Snowmass mall. We were taken there. Oh my goodness! Their food was absolutely to die for! The service we received was terrible, but the food and the view of the sunset in the mountains was fabulous!!! Taylor had a pizza and I had a fancy...well, it was like a spaghetti dish, but much more delicious.

After dinner, we walked around the mall that was closed while we waited for the hotel to pick us up.

 Our 2nd day being Honeymooners was absolutely fabulous! With not  a care in the world, the kick-off of our stay in Colorado couldn't have been more magical.

Honeymoon Day 2: Viceroy and Snowmass Village

Once we arrived at the hotel we checked in and made our way to our fancy room! I personally had never stayed in a place SO gorgeous before! We were upgraded to a one bedroom suite, so we had a living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom- but all separated! So came in and once the door closed screamed with excitement!! We checked out all the nooks and crannies. We decided to take a little nap before unpacking and going grocery shopping. We wanted to save money food and had decided before leaving that we would purchase groceries and eat out as little as possible.

 Our room was amazing. Anything we wanted, needed, hoped for: they supplied! We felt like royalty there! The staff treated us so well and spoiled us non-stop! It was not only a beautiful facility, but it felt so homey! Thank goodness for the great deal we scored!
