Day #4 Taylor and I decided to rent some bicycles and ride from Snowmass to Aspen. Aspen is about 12-15 miles from Snowmass, but we were told it was easier to ride TO Aspen then ride BACK from Aspen. The ride was beautiful! It wasn't too warm, but the altitude made it really difficult to breathe! Not only did we feel like we were the most out of shape honeymooners of all time, but then on top of the tough hills, was the fact that we were not yet used to the lack of oxygen!
I have to be honest though. Prior to us taking off from Snowmass, I turned into a monster towards Taylor. I know, I know. How could I while we were on our honeymoon? Well, we both had cameras on us and I dropped mine...and it broke before we even took off! When I tried to fix it, I couldn't and then Taylor didn't want to fix it either so for some reason flipped out on him. It's funny looking back, but I was really heated. At one of our first stops, I apologized and decided to try again to fix it myself and sure enough, I figured out a way! Then I really felt bad for being so upset! It was like I was a little baby who didn't get my way and I took it out on him. Good thing I have such a sweet hubby. He just basically ignored me until I apologized. :-) There you have it...I'm the mean one in the relationship!

| Lucky me, he carried the backpack!! |
 |
| I'm pretty sure he was telling me right here not to hold the camera like that... and then I dropped it |

The bike trails are really well groomed in Snowmass and Aspen as TONS of people bike everywhere. We followed the signs to lead us towards Aspen, but several people told us various ways to go, that we kept forgetting which path we wanted. We eventually figured it out! One lady told us not to go the way we went due to a couple ridiculous hills. Did we listen? No. Did we have to walk our bikes up the hill? Yes. It really was more like crawling since I could barely breathe! Taylor kept saying "come on babe, you can make it!" as we're both just sweating like crazy. Our waters were practically gone before the first hour of riding because of those crazy hills at the beginning! Fortunately rest of the ride had minimal inclines, or at least they seemed that way due to those we had conquered!

| All of the homes in the area are large and gorgeous. Even the housing for the workers in the area were huge |

Taylor would speed WAYYYY ahead of me and then wait for me to catch up. This time I went down the big hill first and went as fast as I could. He still caught up instantly!
We came up to a really cool bridge with a gorgeous view below it. Taylor asked if I wanted to trek down and get in the creek. I was hesitant at first, but then decided what's the worst that could happen? The bikes get stolen? Okay, that would be pretty bad, but not the end of the world! So we guessed how to get down and enjoy the beautiful creek.

| You wanna go down THERE?! |
 |
| Gorgeous! |

| The Wife :-) |
The entire area was so beautiful and peaceful! We could have hung out there all day! Of course, me being paranoid, kept wanting to head back to get the bikes...worried that someone might take them.
My husband wanted to go skinny dipping, and said he's try out the water first...
 |
| come on babe...it's not THAT cold |
He finally admitted the water was freezing so I declined the offer. I know, I'm a baby. He went ahead and took a VERY short dip!! But he felt better since he was so warm from the bike ride and hike.

I saved the best pictures for myself... ;-)
We went back to the bikes and finished our journey to Aspen. The views were incredible the whole way. I didn't want to bore anyone with too many scenic photos, but really- what a beautiful area.

| Using his phone to find directions to the bike shop in Aspen |
When we arrived in Aspen, we rode through several neighborhoods before approaching the town. The homes were all old Victorian homes...absolutely gorgeous. We finally managed to find the bicycle store to drop the bikes off at. We showed them that the brakes on my bike weren't very good, and they agreed! I noticed when we were going down steep hills that they really wouldn't work very well! Fortunately we made it safe and sound and headed off on foot to see what Aspen had to offer....
