Friends

We have had the opportunity to spend a lot of time with friends recently. It's easy to get caught up in the every day happenings of life and push your friends aside - but the great thing about friends is the ability to come together and pick up where you left off...regardless of how long it's been! We love our friends!!!

Jenny had a birthday March 31st but we did not celebrate until April 8th. One of her friends booked a Passion Party off of the party I hosted, and they combined the Passion Party with birthdays, which included Jenny's. Fortunately the weather was nothing but sunshine, so we were able to watch the sunset at Jenny's in-laws who's home overlooks the sound. I wish I would have taken some pics, but we had a great time. Happy Birthday to my sweet friend Jenny!

April 10th, 2011 - was Wendy's 40th birthday! However, we celebrated on the 9th at the Black Lake Grange. Her husband threw her a 40th birthday bash which included yummy food, homemade brew, a DJ who played some fabulous tunes and a poker tournament. Taylor and I played some major league players in UNO where neither of us won. Our opponents? 3-9 year olds! Oh Yeah! They rocked the night with all their wins, high fives and "UNO" yells! So cute!

For our shared appetizer and drink of choice, Taylor and I made jello shots! We didn't think about the fact that little kiddos would be there and want some jello too...we wished we would have made some for kids, but the Big Kids seemed to really enjoy them!

I love your guys' too! Your kiddos are so cute! I sometimes feel bad doing posts, since they are all about us...but the Blog is a fun way to journal our life- and right now, there aren't any kiddos...it IS all about us! hehe!

Our Home

Our first home!!! We purchased it officially and received keys on 08/13/2009. A very special day for us as exactly one year later, we became husband and wife. The home has only had one owner other than us, since it was originally built. We need to do some cosmetic fixing, but overall, it's a fabulous home. We love that it is a little bit out of town, and that we have an acre of land. Though we hope to purchase property and build a home we design ourselves, this was a perfect home for a starter home. I can't wait to start a garden and decorate once we finish some of the upgrades. Now that the wedding has passed, we can finally start focusing more on the house.
