For breakfast we went to Pellegrino's. Taylor and I went there a few times this past summer for breakfast, where we could sit out on the patio in the warm sunshine. We did eat inside for my birthday breakfast...it was sunny, but not too warm. Due to some minor mistakes with our meals, we were each treated to an on the house mocha! Yum!

From my In-Laws, I was treated with a cute sweatshirt, gloves to keep my fingers warm when I walk on my breaks at work, a decorative item for the house and a cute spring top. I say Spring since it's sleeveless, but very modest and professional enough for work.
My husband gave me the cutest card ever but wanted to save my gift(s) for my actual birthday. You see in the photo above, I'm still ONLY 24. ;-)
Every morning I wake up with my sweet husband and make him breakfast and prepare his lunch, before he heads off to work. He wanted to surprise me with something special in MY lunch, or even make me my lunch, but he knows I'm kind of picky. Instead, he came out to the living room Sunday night before we went to bed and said, "Don't worry babe, I already made my lunch and prepared the coffee so you don't have to in the morning". He's so sweet and thoughtful. Of course I can't say this to him, but then my morning was completely thrown off...my routine was off! What a way to start the first day of my 25th year! (I'm kidding...but only kind of. I was appreciative, but it did mess up my routine! haha)
He was so excited to give me my gift before he left for work! I thought I knew what it was going to be, but I was all wrong. He picked out some make-up for me from the MAC store. Yes, my husband isn't afraid to buy me make-up...maybe because he gets to chat with the cute girls at the store (if you've ever been to our MAC store locally, you know I'm totally kidding)- but he said he was excited because he told the girl all about the color of my eyes and skin tone, and she helped him pick out the perfect color to bring out the blue in my eyes. The next gift I opened completely surprised me: it was a brand new WATCH! I've REALLY been wanting a new watch....
***Side note to watch story***You see a couple of weeks before my birthday, we were at the mall and I had put on a watch earlier that morning that I [have] had for years and years. The battery was dead, so I thought we could stop and get it fixed. I made fun of myself to Taylor as we were walking through the mall and said "hey look, I'm wearing a watch that doesn't even work! haha!" He asked "where did you get that watch?" and it dawned on me that it was given to me by an "ex". I didn't hold on to it because of sentimental value, I held on to it because I loved the size and simplicity of it. I instantly felt bad and immediately discarded of it. Neither of us are the real jealous type, but I wouldn't want Taylor wearing something someone else gave him...and due to my insecurities I'd think "I bet he's thinking of HER when he puts that on". Stupid, I know, but it's the truth. So I felt terrible that I hadn't thought of how it might make him feel...so needless to say, it is no longer in my possession.
I've really been yearning for a watch...and mine is SUPER cute. It's a Fossil watch with bling on the inside. Oh yeah, I'm big pimpin now. :-) I love that Taylor always thinks of practical yet thoughtful gifts...Have I mentioned I love him?
I didn't want anything extravagant for my birthday this year, so when my Mom asked about plans for my birthday, Taylor said we were just going to our favorite place, The Brick. My Mom, her husband, my Grams, Uncle Mark and Aunt Cheryl all also joined us. We enjoyed some delicious food and drinks. I personally had a few too many...or maybe it was just my old age kicking in.
I was spoiled at dinner too: Money from Grams and Fred, scratch tickets (some were winners!) from my Uncle Mark, cash from Aunt Cheryl, a nice bottle of wine, a utensil holder and dinner from my Mom and Bryan!
