Honeymoon Day 2: Traveling

After going to bed late, and getting only a couple of hours of sleep, we got up, packed up our stuff and headed to meet the Airport Shuttle. There weren't many others leaving on the 330am shuttle: we were both tired but SOOO excited!!

SOO tired: heading out to the airport shuttle

My 2 day Hubby

We got all checked in and headed to get some coffee
We hung out around the airport, did some shopping and tried to relax with how exciting we were. Taylor bought me a blanket and airplane pillow: he insisted. He's so sweet. Prior to getting on the plane, Taylor ran to the restroom, and I, while trying to open the blanket up, hit myself in the face SOOO hard that I had a huge welt on my lip! I was so embarrassed! I started crying, trying to hide it, while I waited for my hubby to get back. I tried getting a picture but it was too blurry. I wanted to see how bad it was, but I know it was bad from the reaction Taylor gave me! haha
Anyway, I slept the majority of the way to Denver, where our layover was. Taylor watched a movie on his phone and enjoyed the window seat. The weather was beautiful all the way to Denver. We left just as the sun was coming up.

Almost there!
We landed in Denver for our layover. We shopped a bit in their beautiful airport. At the restaurant, we met some really nice people. We enjoyed a couple cocktails before our following flight along with great conversation. It was SO fun telling everyone we were newlyweds!

Thanks for the yager shot new friend! Wish I could remember your  name!

Honeymooners!!
We went to catch our next flight and Taylor thought it would be funny to pretend like we were missing our flight and run through the airport: and we did! It was hilarious! Who knows if anyone actually thought we were late...but it was fun to think they did.

We anxiously waited for our mini-plane to arrive, to take us to Aspen. There were so many "cool" people around us- Taylor was messing around with his phone, and took a picture of a guy in front of us, his shoes:

Our plane finally arrived!! Taylor was really nervous because of the small plane. It was only about a half hour flight: or supposed to be.

Mini Plane!

Denver area

Colorado was so flat! At least around Denver

Finally mountains! We were almost there!
As we approached Aspen, we were trying to guess which celebrities lived in the large beautiful homes we saw. Kate Hudson is one of my favorite actresses and Goldie Hawn has a home in Aspen. I was SOOO hoping we'd spot them! I read up on the fact that Kate usually goes or occasionally goes to Aspen during Christmas time, but I had my fingers crossed she enjoyed the mountains in the summer! haha

The hotel picked us up at the airport and we headed to Snowmass Village, where our hotel was. It was about a 20 minute drive from Aspen to Snowmass. The Rockies are absolutely gorgeous!
Viceroy Snowmass
We stayed at the Viceroy in Snowmass. http://www.viceroyhotelsandresorts.com/snowmass/ It was an amazing hotel! Absolutely beautiful, even in the summer! They have their own private lift, so staying there in the winter would have been incredible as well.

Our traveling finally came to an end! We were so excited to finally arrive and begin our 6 night stay in such a fancy place! Our honeymoon travels ROCKED. Being married is the best gift of all time!
