Nirvana

On Friday I asked Taylor what he'd like to do this weekend, other than celebrate his Dad's birthday on Sunday. He suggested going to the Nirvana exhibit at the EMP in Seattle. I told him I really don't know anything about Nirvana other than the one album cover that has the naked baby in water on it, and that was because my dad absolutely loved them! I had no idea they were from Grays Harbor county! So we got up yesterday morning, got ready and hit the road! The weather was perfect, although a little chilly, but we walked and walked and walked - Stopped at the EMP, enjoyed the Space Needle (from the bottom....it's so expensive to go up, we did that a few years ago), and to top the day off we enjoyed some time at Pike Place Market!

At Market, my sweet hubby bought me a beautiful spring bouquet! I couldn't believe how many flowers were there! I didn't get a photo while we were there, so I took a few pics when we got home. How did I get so lucky to find Taylor? He's truly the light of my life.

What a fabulous day in Seattle!

Our Home

Our first home!!! We purchased it officially and received keys on 08/13/2009. A very special day for us as exactly one year later, we became husband and wife. The home has only had one owner other than us, since it was originally built. We need to do some cosmetic fixing, but overall, it's a fabulous home. We love that it is a little bit out of town, and that we have an acre of land. Though we hope to purchase property and build a home we design ourselves, this was a perfect home for a starter home. I can't wait to start a garden and decorate once we finish some of the upgrades. Now that the wedding has passed, we can finally start focusing more on the house.
